Car rental in Bintan is handled directly from our branch at Teluk Sebung Ferry Terminal in Lagoi, with service counters at the main arrival point and inside several resort areas. Because the office and the fleet are both on the island, vehicles can be staged around ferry times instead of waiting for a delivery from another city.
Our Bintan service is open to individuals and companies alike. Travellers and resort guests can book at the counter for a few hours or a few days, while companies, hotels, and resort properties can take out contracts for operational vehicles or staff buses on a fixed daily schedule.
Unlike the other cities we serve, demand in Bintan is built around point-to-point movement: ferry terminal to resort, between areas within Lagoi, and across the island to Tanjung Uban or Tanjung Pinang. That is why the service here ranges from single transfers lasting only minutes to long-term staff bus contracts.
Services available in Bintan
- Transfers and one-way trips. From the counter to hotels, resorts, golf courses, or another ferry terminal — scheduled around ferry arrivals.
- Car rental with driver. Available in 4-hour, 6-hour, 8-hour, and full-day packages, with an hourly add-on if the trip runs long.
- Bintan tours. Half-day and full-day packages around the island, with vehicles ranging from small cars to a medium bus.
- Wuling Air EV self-drive. An electric car you drive yourself, within the Lagoi (Bintan Resorts) area only.
- Bus and Hiace rental. For groups, resort activities, and staff shuttles.
- Long-term contracts. Including staff buses and daily operational vehicles for companies and resort properties on the island.
Counters and pickup points
- Bandar Bintan Telani (BBT) Ferry Terminal, Lagoi. Our counter at the ferry terminal, at the same location as the branch office at Teluk Sebung Ferry Terminal.
- Nirwana Gardens and Mayang Sari. Resort-area counters for guests already staying on the island who need a vehicle during their stay.
- Hotel Mutiara, Tanjung Pinang. The counter that handles pickups from Tanjung Pinang and Tanjung Uban ferry terminals.
Vehicle options
The Bintan fleet is arranged around group size and the kind of trip most often requested:
- Wuling Air EV — an electric car for short trips inside the Lagoi area.
- Daihatsu Sigra and Toyota Calya — the most compact option for two to four people.
- Toyota Avanza, Suzuki Ertiga, Mitsubishi Xpander — the MPV class most used for transfers and family trips.
- Toyota Innova — for longer journeys or guests who want more comfort.
- Toyota Hiace and Elf — mid-sized groups with luggage.
- Medium buses, 25 and 30 seats — large groups, corporate activities, and staff shuttles.
Routes we serve regularly
The trips we handle most often run from our counters to the following points:
- Within Lagoi: Lagoi Bay, Treasure Bay and Canopi, Banyan Tree and Angsana Resort, Nirwana Gardens and Mayang Sari, Bintan Lodge and Pujasera, Safari Lagoi, Simpang Lagoi.
- Golf and nearby resorts: Bintan Lagoon Golf & Resort, Club Med and Ria Bintan Golf, the Sebong area.
- Outside the resort area: Trikora Beach on the east coast, Tanjung Uban and Lobam to the north, and Tanjung Pinang and Kijang to the south.
How rates are calculated
There is no single price in Bintan, because the trips themselves differ so much. Rates are built around three things:
- Vehicle type. Small cars, MPVs, the Innova, the Hiace, and medium buses each carry a different rate according to capacity.
- Destination or distance. Moving between points inside Lagoi is calculated differently from a run to Trikora, Tanjung Uban, or Tanjung Pinang.
- Duration. A one-way transfer, a 4- to 8-hour package, a full day, and a monthly contract are each worked out on their own basis.
Rates also change over time. So that you get a figure that genuinely applies, we confirm pricing directly — ask at our counter or contact the Bintan branch with your destination, group size, and dates.
Wuling Air EV self-drive requirements
- Use is limited to the Lagoi (Bintan Resorts) area.
- An ID card must be submitted for the duration of the rental.
- A copy of an Indonesian driving licence; for foreign nationals, a copy of an international driving licence and passport.
- An active WhatsApp number and your hotel room number.
- An own-risk amount per accident applies.

The INDORENT Bintan office
Our branch is at Teluk Sebung Ferry Terminal, Block No. 5 & 6, Lagoi, Bintan, telephone 0770-691999, email bintan@indorent.co.id. Because the office and the fleet both sit at the arrival point itself, preparing a unit and handling emergencies does not depend on help arriving from off the island.
INDORENT is operated by PT CSM Corporatama, an Indomobil Group company that has been in the vehicle rental business since 1987, with 23 operational networks across Indonesia and ISO 9001 and ISO 45001:2018 certification.
Frequently asked questions
Can individuals rent, or is this only for companies?
Both. In Bintan we serve individuals and travellers through our counters for hourly, daily, or tour-package use, and we serve companies, hotels, and resort properties through operational vehicle and staff bus contracts.
Where are the INDORENT counters in Bintan?
At Bandar Bintan Telani Ferry Terminal (Teluk Sebung) in Lagoi, which is also the branch office, in the Nirwana Gardens and Mayang Sari resort area, and at Hotel Mutiara in Tanjung Pinang.
Can I rent a car without a driver in Bintan?
Yes, for the Wuling Air EV, and use is limited to the Lagoi area. You will need to submit an ID card and a copy of your driving licence — an international driving licence and passport for foreign nationals. For trips outside the resort area, vehicles are provided with a driver.
Which vehicles are available?
From the Wuling Air EV, Daihatsu Sigra and Toyota Calya, MPVs such as the Toyota Avanza, Suzuki Ertiga, and Mitsubishi Xpander, the Toyota Innova, and the Toyota Hiace and Elf, through to 25- and 30-seat medium buses for large groups.
Are long-term contracts available for companies?
Yes. The Bintan branch handles daily operational vehicles and staff buses on fixed schedules. On long-term contracts, scheduled servicing, registration renewal, roadworthiness testing, and insurance are already included in the cost.
Can one contract cover Batam or other cities?
It can. Besides Bintan, we also operate in Batam and other cities, so requirements spanning several locations can be managed under a single contract.
